FACTS
Lead single from the second studio album, played live extremely often - from before the album debuted to the most recent shows. The song emerged in late 2010 as a vinyl single. It was one of the latest Belong songs to be written, though it appears the whole album was written far in advance of its release. Remixed by Pains' tourmate Twin Shadow and released on the Acid Reflex compilation.

Kip to Magnifier, 2011: "It was going to be called The Heart In Your Heartbreak, but we have too many songs that start with T-H-E, so we dropped that. It's a long enough title as it is. It's probably like the last song we wrote for the album and it ended up being the first single. It's really fun to play because it has cool keyboard riffs and - "

Kip: "Some Blink-182 inspiration on this song. Like, we found out after the fact that Mark Hoppus was a fan of the song, so that was a huge honor. Thanks Mark Hoppus, thanks Blink-182."
Kip to Last.fm, 2011: "It was actually going to be called The Heart in Heartbreak, but we already had a lot of songs with 'the' in the title and our band had 'the' in the title, so we had to drop the 'the.' We were toying around in my mind with the track order. This song came together at the very end and it felt perfect for the first single."
