FACTS
The lead track of the EP that followed the self-titled album in 2009. A solid live favorite, played fairly regularly since its release. Subject to numerous remixes upon release, fairly irregular for a Pains song. Has been played solo by Kip as well as in keyboard-heavy full-band versions. On a personal note, the first Pains show I attended was mere days before the release of HTTS, and the band had begun playing it live, along with some of its fellow EP tracks. The fursuited dance party in the very memorable video was a concept suggested by Peggy, per a Kip interview.
QUOTES
Kip to Von Ruhm: "A song that always gives me goosebumps when we do it live is a song from an EP between our first and second albums called Higher Than The Stars. And even though the recording of it isn't that great, the song itself gives me chills when we still play it, and I think about it."
