FACTS
The pseudo-title track of the Pains' first EP, as when that EP was released in expanded form, it was simply titled The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. As a live song, it is still in circulation a decade later, often as an encore. It's a clear example of the early model of Pains, where an incandescent pop song structure is mixed with a lyric with some hidden bite. The song appears in a re-recorded version on the self-titled LP - that version was not released as one of the three singles from the album.

QUOTES
Kip to WTBU, 2011: "I really love playing Come Saturday, everything WIth You, Young Adult Friction and Stay Alive. And This Love Is Fucking Right! Those five we almost always play and then we mix in five more from Belong and the occasional B-side and tracks from the EPs and stuff, try and cover all the bases."
